Kristen Merlin is a past contestant on the U.S. singing competition, The Voice. She was Team Shakira and sings wonderfully in the country genre. Country group Little Big Town have a current single called "Girl Crush" and as an out artist, Merlin covered the song (video above) with a decidedly different twist since it's not meant to be about a same-sex relationship.
