Marriage Equality: Musicians Share Their Excitement

images from this post
Alternative Press magazine shared a post where they collected images from many musicians' twitter pages, showing how excited they are for marriage equality in the United States.

As a fan of many of these artists, I thought it was great to see their excitement and thoughts. They can influence a lot of people (especially younger fans) so it's nice to see them supporting something positive and very much important. In the above photo you can see Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, Hayley from Paramore, and Mark Hoppus from Blink182.

Are there any artists you're a fan of that shared their excitement online?

Aww yay, so nice to see :) Honestly, if I was a fan of someone prior to this who didn't have something congratulatory to say on the topic, then I no longer am a fan of theirs. Pretty sure I unfollowed a few people who tweeted transphobic things regarding Caitlin Jenner, for instance.

Great topic Lauren! I am pro equal rights, anti-discrimination! I've had such a tough time with certain family members on this topic, and things have gotten pretty heated, especially on Facebook. For example my mother-in-law, who is Catholic kept posting her views on her profile and I was posting mine. Needless to say, she deleted me. Then, Myself, and my siblings got in to a huge debate over the bakery who got fined for refusing to make the wedding cake of a Lesbian couple. Things escalated quickly. How can people act like they love people that are gay, and then say things like the U.S. is going to make bestiality legal next. I can't help but get really angry and frustrated. People are so judgmental, and it's sad.
